When did CBD first appear?
The first documented use of the cannabis plant for medicinal purposes comes from China. In 2737 BC, Emperor Cheng Neng brewed the first cup of delicious CBD tea.
Many years later, cannabinoids were brought back into the light of day when Harvard-educated chemist Roger Adams identified and extracted CBD from the cannabis plant. Along with CBD, he identified another cannabinoid called cannabinol, or CBN. His findings are also responsible for the identification of THC, tetrahydrocannabinol, as the most active component of the cannabis plant.
