Kava Kava Preparation

The traditional preparation of a Kava Kava shamanic ritual is simple. Place a measured amount of ground root into the nylon bag and put it in a bowl of lukewarm water (approx. 30–40 °C). Knead and squeeze the bag for 10–15 minutes to release the extract from the root. Then remove the bag, and the ritual is complete. Recommended Kava Kava dosage usually ranges between 15–30 g of dried root per liter of water.

Why the 75µm nylon bag?

A nylon bag with a 75 micron mesh density is ideal for Kava Kava preparation. It allows active substances (kavalactones) dissolved in water to pass through while capturing woody fibers and coarse particles of the root. Thanks to the two bags in the set, you always have a backup while one is drying after cleaning.
